David Lynn Jones – Kingsport, TN
David Lynn Jones, 70 of Kingsport went to be with the lord on Wednesday December 22 at his home.
David was born on November 14,1951 in Texas.
He will be reunited with his loving wife of 50 years Wanda Mae Jones; his parents Betty and Omer Thompson, and great granddaughter Evelyn.
He had one younger brother Kurt, that has been missing for 20 years.
He is survived by his 3 children, Travis & Angel Jones, and his granddaughter Ashley Carter that he adopted as his daughter and raised; grandchildren, Tristan, Maggie, Charlotte, and Elijah; great grandchildren are Jaxson & Abby, Brantley & Brooklyn and 2 on the way.
David was a very proud Vietnam Veteran who served honorably in the Navy. After leaving the Navy he was a truck driver for many years, and he loved his job. He had to retire early due to health reasons. During his retirement he loved crossword puzzles, watching Airplane Repo, building model cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
A service to honor David will be held on Sunday January 2 from 5-7pm at his home.
