Jo Cleek – Kingsport, TN

Jo Cleek, 97, Kingsport, TN passed away, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Holston Manor, Kingsport, TN.

Jo was born in Scott County, VA on December 20, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Charles Robert and Esther (Tipton) Cleek.

She was a Charter Member of the West Virginia Network for Children, a past president and vice president of the West Virginia Association for Young Children, and a Professor at Clinch Valley College (University of Virginia at Wise), Glenville State, and East Tennessee State University.

Jo was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, her siblings preceded her in death. 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

It was Jo’s wish to be cremated.
