James “Jimmy” Ore Isaacs- Nickelsville, VA
James “Jimmy” Ore Isaacs, 71- Nickelsville, VA passed away on August 19, 2025, at his residence.
Born on September 2, 1953, to the late George Francis and Mary (Dixon) Isaacs.
He retired from the Eastman Chemical Company.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law, Rick Robinson preceded him in death.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Camp Isaacs; son, James Isaacs (Julia); daughters, Cindy Greene (Mark), Mary BarEl (Doran), Rachel Stram (Eric), sisters, Violet Shelton (Jeff) , Sherry Jean Robinson; brothers, Gail Isaacs, Paul Isaacs (Jerri); grandchildren, Eric, Cameron, Sevin, Patience, Eitan, Nadav, Elad, Bree, Jack, Sigrid, Sophie, James River; several step grandchildren whom he loved; great grandchildren, Kyan, Tyeson, Miracle, Malia, Anna Bell and Hazel ; along with several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends from 1-2 pm, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jason Dowdell officiating. Barry Epps with members of the Higher Ground praise team will provide the music
Burial will follow the service at the Nickelsville Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Mark Greene, Eric Stram, James Isaacs, Sevin Smith, Eric Smith, Doran BarEl and Cameron Gibson will serve as pallbearers. Eitan BarEl, Nadav BerEl and Elad BarEl will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank his special caregiver, Hope Hatfield, for her love and care and to Dr. Shipstone and staff of Ballad Cancer Center, along with the staff of Caris Hospice.
