Jackie Junior Ison – Mauldin, SC

Jackie Junior Ison, 75, Mauldin, SC and formerly of Clinchport, VA passed away, Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Jackie was born in Kingsport, TN on June 10, 1951, and was the son of the late Jack R. and Rosa Ellen (Collins) Ison.

He was employed as a torque inspector with the Chrysler Corp.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Lillie Jane Hensley, and brothers, Kyle, David, and Norman Ison preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife, Rhonda (McMillian) Ison, son, Kevin Ison and wife, Gracie, granddaughter, Kayla Aldrich and Harley Huskins, great grandchildren, Keeton and Kade Aldrich and Chloe and Willow Huskins, brothers, Bobby and Earl Ison, along with numerous nieces, nephews, many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. H.L. Moore officiating. Music will be provided by Rachel Howard.
