Irene Williams – Nickelsville, VA

Irene Williams, 72, Nickelsville, VA passed away, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at her residence.

Irene was born in Scott County, VA on September 20, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Camby and Madeline (Culbertson) Williams.

In addition to her parents, her sisters, Bessie Culbertson, Ellen Rose, Norma Williams, Zella Phillips, Mary Salyers, and twins, Lorene and Florene Williams, and brothers, Junior, Bruce, Cecil, Robert, Donald, and Buford Williams preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brothers, Wayne Williams, and Carnell Williams and wife, Bobbi Carol.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor David Williams officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Culbertson Cemetery, Twins Springs community of Nickelsville, VA. Anthony Williams, Ralph Taylor, Jeremy Culbertson, Mark Culbertson, Jessie Collins, Chuck Finch, Tyler Collins, and Todd Hale will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the Culbertson Cemetery for the graveside service.

The family would like to express their special thanks to her cousin and caregiver, Deidre Barrera and to the staff of Caris Hospice for their love and care of Irene.
