Richard Lynn Hensley, 65, Duffield, VA passed away, Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his residence.
Richard was born in Scott County, VA on April 11, 1955, and was the son of the late Willie and Hazel (McDavid) Hensley.
He was a 1973 graduate of Rye Cove High School, and a professional truck driver.
He loved his family, friends, and grandkids, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, his son, Mark Hensley; and brother, Jeff Hensley preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Tammy Hensley; son, Mike Hensley and wife, Christa; step children, Katie Hollifield, and Jacob Williams and wife, Georgia; grandchildren, Brady Hensley and Cory Hensley; step grandchildren, Stevie Williams and Lyric Caudill and several others; brother, Roger Hensley and wife, Karen; along with several nieces and nephews; and a host of other close relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Hensley Cemetery, Duffield, VA with Rev. Joe Roberts officiating.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
