Obituary of Helen Mueller

Helen Stuffle Mueller,95, of the Bloomingdale Vermont community, went to be with her Lord on July 31st, 2026.

Helen was born on June 13, 1931, to William McKinley Stuffle and Laura Ring Stuffle. She spent most of her early life on the family farm in the Bloomingdale Vermont community in Sullivan County. She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and following graduation worked for the Mead Corporation for several years.

During her life she lived in the Middle East and Brazil. In addition to traveling, Helen loved gardening, reading, baking and antiquing. She especially loved her many pets and always had canine and feline companions!

She was a lifelong member of Vermont United Methodist Church and a supporter of the American Legion.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bill and Charles. She is survived by her daughters Marsha Childs (George) of Marietta, GA, Angela Vaughn (Michael) of Kingsport, three grandchildren, Jessica Rhoades, Alex Vaughn and Addie Vaughn Deal, nine great grandchildren, sister Nancy Stebbins and nephews Bill and Joe Stuffle.

A graveside service will take place at the Stuffle family cemetery, 2044 Bloomingdale Road at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5th. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45.

The family would like to recognize and thank the staff at Crown Cypress and Amedysis Hospice for their kindness and great care they gave to our mother. Lastly, a very special thanks to Chaplain Bobby Flowers for his friendship and spiritual support.
