Susie Malone – Kingsport, TN
Helen “Susie” Malone was born June 6, 1947. She entered Heaven’s gate on September 12, 2026.
A loving mother, nanny, and homemaker, Susie was a remarkable cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.
Susie was known for her love of going to flea markets, growing and eating hot peppers, and maters.
Susie’s true passion was all about cooking. She could tell y’all about how to cook a good ole pot of soup beans.
However, if you knew her sense of humor, you should know why she puts a step ladder in the soup bean pot while they’re cookin’.
Unfortunately, that would come to an end in 2025 when she was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Cancer.
Susie could no longer live on her own.
She was the daughter of the late Homer and Alberta (Bishop) Roberts.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Frank Malone (April 2025); sisters, Mary Maya and Ona Poole; brothers, Lee Roberts, Kelly Roberts, and Randy Roberts, all preceded her in death.
Those who will forever be inspired by her resilience are, her cherished fub baby, Buster; her devoted caregiver and daughter, Kaya Bell and husband, Chas, her fond daughter, Kristy Akers and husband, Mike; loving grandchildren, Che’ka “Punky” Collier and husband, Ryan, Chantae “Sis” Smith and husband, Nick, (Nan calls Sis her baby), Krislyn “Pebbles” Pennington and husband, Hunter, Sarah “Patty” Jones and husband, Jacob; and grandpuppy, Bodi.
Much - Loved Great Grandchildren, Kyler Smith, Calli Collier, Eli Smith, Jax Smith, Braxton Jones, Ella Pennington, Paisley Jones, Berkley Jones, and Damian Dillon; caring brothers, Buddy Roberts, Roy Roberts and wife, Anna Belle; beloved sister, Judy Poole; thoughtful niece, Susie Kay Wilder, who made her awesome sweet treats each visit.
Susie is remembered and dearly loved by several other cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Susie’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire us. She was tough with a tender heart. Even in hard times, she remained steady, loving, and strong. Susie’s memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember she was proof that strength can be gentle.
