Gate City, VA ? Jack Harry Haynes, 79, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Brookhaven Nursing Home.
He was born May 26, 1928 in Jackson County, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by Oscar Sherman Haynes and Loretta Josephine Harris.
He served with the United States Marine Corps from April 29, 1946-January 13, 1948.
He is survived by two sisters, Susie Pennington, St. Albans, WV, Linda Ashe, British, Columbia; one brother, Bill Haynes, St. Albans, WV and many friends of Clinch View Manor.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. in the Juanita S. Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jim Marshall officiating.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN.
