Claudia Dell Haynes, 86, Gate City, VA passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Claudia was born in Scott County, VA on May 2, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Tyler and Mary Belle Davidson.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Charles P. Haynes; son, Charles Scott Haynes; brothers, Tyler Davidson, Jr. and Wayne Davidson preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Darnell and husband, David , Gate City, VA; son, Lynn Haynes and wife, Robin, Gate City, VA; sister, Kathleen Bland and husband, Gene, Mt. Carmel, TN; grandchildren, Jason Haynes, Kelly McMurray, Justin Darnell, Joel Darnell, Misty Sexton; great grandchildren, Dylan Powell, Dakoda McMurray, Renee Sexton, Ayden Sexton, Allie Sexton, Mollie Sexton, Allison Evans and Matthew Evans; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Danny Sykes officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at10:30 to go in procession to the graveside service.
