Glenna “Cotton” Elizabeth McCracken- Duffield, VA

Glenna “Cotton” Elizabeth McCracken, 82, Duffield, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Kingsport, TN.

Cotton was born in Scott County, VA, on February 12, 1943, to the late Ezra Hall, and Bertha (Laney) Hall.

In addition to her parents, her first husband, Victor Bates; grandson, Victor Montoya; great grandson, Gavin Arnold; sisters, Ruby Chandler, Wilma Lovejoy, Cora McGee, Marie Peak, Gay Nell O’Keefer, Teresa Meade, Francis Davis; and brothers, Bill Laney, Jim Hall, and Joseph Hall preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack McCracken; daughters, Donna Lipoma (Tony), Vickie Montoya, and Jackie Blankenship (Doug); sons, Mark McCracken (Lisa), and David McCracken (Becky); sisters, Stella Baker, Bobbie Ramsey; grandchildren, Nathan and Nick Arnold, and Maya Medina; 3 great granddaughters; 2 great grandsons; 3 great-great granddaughters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Ray Bledsoe, Terry Rhoton, Denny Hass, and Don Archer officiating.

Graveside services will follow at the Hall Cemetery, Dungannon, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
