Judy Gibson Gillenwater, 71, Gate City, VA passed away, Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Judy was born in Scott County, VA on January 25, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Hady and Dorothy (Smith) Gibson.
Judy along with her husband, Carroll Gillenwater were the owners and operators of Gillenwater Towing serving Scott County, Sullivan County, and the surrounding area for many years.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 53 years, Carroll Gillenwater (June 25, 2017); sons, Rickey Lynn Gillenwater and Carroll Homer “C.H.” Gillenwater, Jr.; sister, Phyllis Smith; and brothers, Danny Gibson and Banner Gibson preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Rhonda Gillenwater Sons and husband, Ricky; sons, Trenity Gillenwater and wife, Katina, Josh Gillenwater and wife, Barbara Jean, and Matthew Gillenwater; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Smith and Ollie Gibson Darnell; brothers, George Gibson and Carlos Gibson; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Private graveside services will be conducted at the Gillenwater cemetery on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
