Geneva Graham Steffey

Gate City, VA – Geneva Graham Steffey, 95, of Gate City, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Geneva was born on May 21, 1931, in Scott County, Virginia. To the late Jeff and Oakley Quillen Graham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Steffey; daughter, Donna Marie Steffey Dotson; son, Jeff Steffey; along with 8 siblings, of whom she was the last of 9 children.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Shirley Taylor and husband, Jack, of Gate City, VA, and Peggy Tyus and husband, Bob, of Gate City, VA; two sons, Ronald Steffey and wife, Anita, of Nickelsville, VA, and Johnny Steffey and wife, Kathy, of Gate City, VA; one son-in-law, David Dotson of Gate City, VA; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home and anytime at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Wayne Stallard officiating. Jamie Pendleton will provide the music.

Burial will follow the service at Steffey Cemetery in Gate City, Virginia. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Great Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Olivia Daugherty and the home health hospice nurses for their love and care of Geneva.
