Gene L. Miller – Magnolia, TX

Gene L Miller, 95, Magnolia, TX, and formerly of Gate City, VA passed away, Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Gene was born, November 17, 1929, in Hugoton, KS and was the son of the late Eldon and Iva (Beasley) Miller.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Reba (Quillen) Miller preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a professor of Greek and Hebrew and contributed to several Bible translations.

Gene was a pastor for the Church of God of Anderson, IN.

He served at Gulf Coast Bible College, Anderson University, and Mid-America University

Gene is survived by his daughters, Peggy Bush, Elaine Clarkson, and son, Randall Miller, grandchildren, Staci Masson, John Clarkson, Jason Clarkson, Misty Miller, and Adam Miller, 14 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in the Midway community of Scott County, VA.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. for the graveside service.

After the graveside service, family and friends will gather at Grogan Park in Gate City, VA for fellowship and remembrance of Gene. Bring a sandwich and share stories of Gene.
