Evangelist Gary Lynn Hunley - Weber City, VA

Gary Lynn Hunley, 73 passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

He was born on June 27, 1952, in Marshall, VA, to the late Warren James and Emma Sue (Pendleton) Hunley.

Gary was an Evangelist for forty plus years wherever he was called to preach and sing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brothers

He is survived by wife of 51 years, the love of his life, Patricia “Pat” Hunley; daughters; daughters, Lisa Byrd (Scott), Jessica Sutherland; son, Gary Hunley; sister, Annis Reed (Roy); grandchildren, Cailey Sutherland and Lindsay Owens (Chandler); great grandchildren, Gibson and Presley; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11-1p.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Darnell officiating. Jerry Smith will provide the music.

Graveside services will follow at the Ponderosa Cemetery, Gate City, VA.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
