Scotty Fields, 48, Gate City, VA entered into rest on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital.
Scotty was preceded in death by his father; Arthur Eugene Fields; an infant brother, Perry Fields; maternal grandparents, Ivan and Faye Stallard; and paternal grandparents, Walter and Lona Fields
Mr. Fields is survived by his mother; Frances Ann Fields, Gate City, VA; brother, Steve and wife Cheryl Fields, Kingsport, Tn.; nieces; Amanda and Jenna Fields; and nephew; Harley Davis
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 11:00 am.-1:00 pm. at Gate City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Deacon Gary Blankenbeckler and Bro. Danny Kerns will be officiating.
Graveside Services will follow the service at the Stallard Family Cemetery in the Midway Community. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff of W-3 wing at Holston Valley Hospital and to the staff of Amedisys for all their extra loving care of Scotty during his illness.
