Phyllis Falin

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Loraine (Valdez) Falin, born on February 25, 1947 in Palo Alto, California, to the late Zella (Giles) Falin and Wilburn Falin, Jr, announces her passing away at age 71 on August 6, 2018 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Phyllis was the loving wife of the late Roy Valdez. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Cirner. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Laura Warneke and Deena Armstrong; sons, Melvin Turner and William Valdez; stepsons, Mardy Valdez and Joe Valdez; stepdaughters, Dawna Valdez and Dolores Valdez-Longoria; sister, Lynn Liden; natural grandchildren, Tony Warneke, Johnathan Turner, Chris Turner, Steven Armstrong, Ricky Armstrong, and Donovan Warneke; and great-great-grandchild, Destiny. She was a Non-denominational Christian and attended many churches in her life. Her legacy will live on forever as so many people including those that weren’t actually her blood knew her as “Mom”, “Aunt”, “Grandma”, and “Friend”. Everyone is welcome to come pay their respects at a celebration of her life to be held on Saturday, September 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 212 Sunset Dr., Johnson City, Tennessee, 37604.
