Eula Mae (Rhoton) Taylor – Duffield, VA

Eula Mae (Rhoton) Taylor, 99. Duffield, VA went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Eula was born in Scott County, VA on January 14, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Myrtle (Sloan) Rhoton.

She was a Godly woman, who had a profound and unwavering love for her Lord, and her family.

In addition to her parents, her first husband, Vernon Fraley (1978), second husband, Harold Taylor, daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Fraley (Jerry) Legg, sisters, Dorothy Pendergrass, Allie Stewart, Bonnie Rhoton, Edith Williams, and Lois M. Jones, brothers, Howard Rhoton, Berdine Rhoton, and Charlie Rhoton preceded her in death.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Karen Legg, Jimmy Darnell, who she said was the son she never had, along with several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Darnell and Rev. T.J. Hood officiating. Kaylor’s Chapel Singers will provide the music.

Burial will follow in the Fraley Cemetery, Duffield, VA.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
