Janice Faye Davidson, 69, Weber City, VA passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital.
Janice was born in Wise County, VA on March 19, 1950 to the late J. C. and Stella Geneva (Reed) Nickels. She is also preceded in death by two sisters.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking and canning foods for her family. She will be missed by all.
Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory; her loving husband of 52 years, Johnny Bradley Davidson, Jr. of the home; sons, Johnny Allen Davidson, Weber City, VA, Michael Dwayne Davidson, Weber City, VA; Tim Davidson and wife Miranda, Chilhowie, VA; brothers, Doug Nickels and wife Donna, Big Stone Gap, VA, Mark Nickels, Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Autumn (Trevor) Hardy, Cody, Bradley, Isabella, Sophie, Jayden, Caleb and Ryker; great grandchildren, Ansley Hardy, Abel Davidson, and soon to be arriving great grandson, Nixxon Hardy; along with several nieces and nephews and many friends. Also a special sister-in-law, Lorrie Barota and special friends Milton and Barbara Justice.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Gate City Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Edens officiating. Chris Holder will be providing the music.
The graveside service will be held immediately after the funeral service at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Davidson, Tim Davidson, Roger Vaughan, Doug Bamberg, Trevor Hardy, Ben Clark, Tony Fansler, and Justin Nickels.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gate City Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
