Christopher Allen Rhoton
December 14th, 1977 – August 25th, 2025
A loving and devoted father, funny uncle, caring son, and a friend to many, Christopher Allen Rhoton went to be with the lord on August 25th, 2025, at Holston Valley. Chris was born on December 14th ,1977, to Brenda and Terry Rhoton, and he was a lifelong member of the Rye Cove community. Chris was well known in his small community and always was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He never knew a stranger. He graduated in 1996 from Rye Cove High School, and he loved to attend every football game since then. He then went onto being one of the best electricians around. Not only was he gifted in his trade, but he was one of the best “tinkerers” around - always working on something. Chris had a natural talent for many things, from playing any instrument he could get his hands on, to fixing even the most broken things. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughters, Kari and Makayla, and his two dogs, Tarzan and Romeo. He loved to go hunting, especially with his dear friends Hollis and Kevin out in Kentucky. He also enjoyed going on random adventures, especially to bark camp lake to just walk the dogs and take his girls fishing. Everyone who knew Chris knew that he had a way of joking, pestering and picking on people, especially his daughters! He had a loving and funny sprit who could make you laugh till your stomach hurt, and who could also aggravate you till you just about had enough. You could often find him up at Front Porch, getting him a bite to eat and a cold crisp mellow yellow picking on all the ladies working and sharing a conversation with Babe Lawson or one of the other regulars.
Chris was proceded in death by his brother Shannon Rhoton; Grandparents Rev. Ronald (Faye) Puckett and Garland (Tempe) Rhoton; and his very best friends Hollis (Sandy) Grizzle.
Chris survived by the two loves of his life, his daughters, Kari and Makayla Rhoton; Parents, Rev. Terry (Brenda) Rhoton; Brother, Marty (Julia) Rhoton; Nephew, Hunter Rhoton; Niece’s, Amber (Tyler) Strouth and Kaeleigh Arnold; Girlfriend, Rachel McNew; and along with many friends and cousins.
