Cecil Hale Rhoton- Gate City, VA

Cecil Hale Rhoton, 85, Gate City, VA, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2024, at his residence. 

Cecil was born on February 8, 1939, in Kingsport, TN, to the late Edgar Rhoton, and Luna Belle (Hatfield) Rhoton. 

In addition to his parents, his wife, Cheryl Rhoton; sisters, Lorraine Harris, and Pauline Wilson; and brothers, George Rhoton, Edgar Rhoton, Robert Rhoton, and an infant brother preceded him in death. 

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Connie Johnson (Chris); granddaughter, Kressa Johnson; and grandson, Noah Johnson. 

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Monday, September 23, 2024, at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Chris Lane, and Riley Boy officiating. Chris Holder will provide the music. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:15a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service. 

Michael Johnson, Charles Johnson, Noah Johnson, Chris Johnson, and Jon Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Joseph Neal, Jason Tipton, and Johnny Harris will serve as honorary pallbearers.
