Cecil Glen Begley Jr., 58, Dungannon, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at his residence.

Cecil was born on September 11, 1968, in Sullivan County, TN, and was the son of Cecil Glen Begley, Sr., and Velma Lorine Starnes.

In addition to his father, his brother, Jeffrey Begley; stepdad, Fred Starnes, who was like a Dad to him; and grandparents, Callus and Lizzie Begley, and Hudson and Phoebia Darnell; fur baby, Mistemeaner preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Courtney Begley (Bradley Ring) and Cynthia Begley (Tase Kiser); mother, Velma Starnes; grandchildren, Jacob Begley, Hunter Begley, Navaeh Begley, Rylan Kiser, and Madyson Kiser; fur baby, Rocky ; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends, including Greg Mullins, Frank Osborne, Charlie Sexton, Jimmy Darnell, and Brenda Larkin.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026, at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Jimmy Darnell and Greg Mullins officiating. Music will be provided by Laura Darnell.

Burial will follow at Begley Cemetery, Dungannon, VA.

Frank Osborne, Charlie Sexton, Rylan Kiser, Tase Kiser, Greg Mullins, Randy Laney, and Danny Darnell will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice caregivers for their kindness, support, and compassionate care.
