Survivors include his father, Roger Carter, Gate City, VA; mother, Jennette Ryans Carter, Kingsport, TN; paternal grandparents, Jack and Patsy Carter, Gate City, VA; maternal special grandparents, J.W. and Mary Ryans, Kingsport, TN; special uncles, Glen Ryans and Chris Ryans, both of Kingsport, TN; special aunt, Dana Campbell, Gate City, VA; cousins, Matt and Amber Ryans, Todd Ervin and Jackie Saez; fiancee, Michele Quillin, Hiltons, VA.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of J.W. and Mary Ryans. Services will be at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jim Hagy and Rev. Chris Fields officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Ervin Family Cemetery, Manville, VA. The family will meet at 10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be a special cousin, Todd Ervin, Daniel Sluss, Matt Ryans, Scottie Carter, Daniel DeFrece, Michael Ervin and Doug Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be special uncles, Glen and Chris Ryans.
