Betty Juanita Burton, 71, Nickelsville, VA passed away on Saturday May 23, 2020 at her residence.
Betty was born in Scott County, VA on April 11, 1949 to the late William Kelly Collins, Sr. and Ethel May (Gibson) Collins. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Hess and brothers, Quinten, Richard, and Michael Collins, and Mikey Fred Collins.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Willard Burton, of the home; daughters, Martha Baldwin and husband Roy, Nickelsville, VA, Betty Lucas and husband Ben, Nickelsville, VA, and Melissa Culbertson and fiancé Charles Head, Kingsport, TN; son, Ricky Burton, Nickelsville, VA; three sisters; four brothers; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Point Truth Cemetery with Pastor Elwood Hall and Dr. Todd Cassell officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Baldwin, Logan Burton, Travis Lucas, Brandon Culbertson, Jeremy Laney, and Bubby Duty. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin, Travis Lane, Charles Head, Michael Collins, and Jay Lambert. Music provided by Ted & Lillian Collins.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to her special grandson and caretaker of 17 years, Todd Lucas.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at the residence at any time.
