Bobbie Jean Gibson Curtis, 63, Church Hill, TN went peacefully with Jesus to her eternal home on Thursday, February 6, 2026. Bobbie is now at total peace in the purest love.

To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord ~ 2 Corinthians 5:8

Bobbie was born on October 23, 1962, and was the daughter of Tom Gibson and Mildred Gibson. She was a 1981 graduate of Gate City High School and worked for many years at Norris Industries in Duffield and later at Sullivan Digestive Center.

Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved being outdoors in nature, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, and Rusty Wallace, listening to music, and enjoying the teaching of Dr. Charles Stanley. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she was deeply proud of each of them.

In addition to her father, Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Russell Curtis, who passed away in July 2024, her brother, Kenneth “Chico” Gibson, and her sister, Brenda Lynn Gibson Kilgore.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jonathan Cline Qualls and wife, Racheal, and Bradley James Curtis and wife, Bailey; grandchildren, Shawn Donovan and EmmaRose, Jenice Qualls; her mother, Mildred Musick McConnell; sisters, Karen Sue Herron, Peggy Gibson Woods, and Dana Lawson; along with many nieces and nephews.

Bobbie chose to be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Browders Chapel Church, East Carters Valley, with her nephew, Bro. Matt Lawson officiating.
