Billy Ray Bowen, 92, Gate City, VA passed away, Thursday, July 2, 2025, at Heritage Hall in Big Stone Gap, VA.

Billy was born in Gate City, VA on June 8, 1933, and was the son of the late John and Nora (Fain) Bowen.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Suella (Purkey) Bowen, and his siblings preceded him in death.

Surviving Billy are his sons, Ricky Bowen and Linda Smith, and Michael Bowen and Kathy Jo Roberts.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with words of comfort by Billy Hackney.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Holston View Cemetery at 11:45 a.m, Tuesday for the graveside service.
