Betty Louise Broadwater – Nickelsville, VA

Betty Louise Broadwater, 77, Nickelsville, VA passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at her residence.

Betty was born in Kingsport, TN on February 25, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Arnold Ford and Thelma Elaine Byington Addington.

Betty enjoyed farming and taking care of cattle. She spent many years in business in the Nickelsville community. She loved and cared about everyone and was always making sure everyone was okay.

In addition to her parents; her mother-in-law, Lorraine Broadwater; brother-in-law, Gary Broadwater; brother, Gary Ford Addington preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Phil Edward Broadwater; daughter, Melissa Dawn Mendenhall and husband, Randy; grand fur baby, Cloie; sister-in-law, Jackie Broadwater; brother-in-law, Ronald Broadwater and wife, Barbara; special friends and former sisters-in-law, Sue Addington and Diane Williams; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2025, at the Nickelsville Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA with Rev. Steve Collins officiating. Jennifer Starnes will provide the music. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. for the service.
