Benny Lewis Clark, Jr., 48, Gate City, VA, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at his residence.

Benny was born in Kingsport, TN, on August 2, 1977, and was the son of the late Benny Lewis Clark, Sr., and Wilma Jean (Carter) Clark.

In addition to his parents, his daughter, Kayla Hill; nephew, Brandon Wayne Steele; and cousins, Robert Dwain Clark, John Lennon Crisp, and Jennifer Robin Freeman preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Benjamin Marcus Clark; mother of his son, Melinda Jane Gill; sisters, Betty Clark Ratliff (Charlie) and Loretta Clark Collier (Gary); brothers, Jeff Kiser and Jack Tipton (Frankie); grandson, Noah Ethan Clark; special aunts and uncles, Robert and Kathy Clark, Linda Clark, Lucy Fields (Gerald), Janie Gilliam, Judy Miller (Scott), and Charles Carter; nieces and nephews, Channing Ratliff, Bethany Grace Ratliff, Josh Collier, Gabe Collier, Brandy Shenk, Ryan Kiser, Cash Kiser, Bryan Kiser, Clara Kiser, Bailey Kiser, and Brent Kiser.

The family will receive friends from 4-6p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 6:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Duncan and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Chris Holder will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Clark Family Cemetery, Gate City, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:00a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

Josh Collier, Michael Clark, Charlie Clark, Channing Ratliff, Michael Shayne Clark, Jeff Kiser, and Charlie Ratliff will serve as pallbearers. Benjamin Marcus Clark will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
