Jarrell W. Bays – Nickelsville, VA
Jarrell W. (Jake) Bays, 87, Nickelsville, VA went to be with the Lord, August 1, 2022, at his home.
Jake was born in Bennings, VA on April 23, 1935, and was the son of the late Carlton and Tempe Bays, and had resided on Ponderosa Road, Nickelsville, VA for 74 years.
He was veteran of the United States Army, a member of Roadside Mission Church, Nickelsville, VA, and was retired from Holston Defense with 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, his brother, Howard Bays preceded him in death.
Surviving is his loving wife of 17 years, Ann (Andrs) Bays, stepchildren, David and wife, Mary Stringer, Diane Stiles, and Tom Stringer, grandchildren, Jesse, Aidan, Emily, Tommy, Jonah, and Braylee Kay, daughter-in-law, Kathie Stiner, sister-in-law, Phyllis Bays, and a special niece, Lois Hurd, along with several other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Roadside Mission Church, Nickelsville, VA with Preacher Phillip Lane and Preacher James Sampson officiating. A meal and fellowship will follow at the Fellowship Hall for family and close friends.
