Wilma Sue Barnette – Duffield, VA
Wilma Sue Barnette, 73, Duffield, VA sadly left us on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Norton Community Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Blackwater, VA on November 21, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Harlie Jessee and Mary Golden (Harber) Gilliam.
She loved Jesus, her family, friends, and her dogie, Missy.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Rodney Earl Barnette preceded her in death.
Surviving is her brother, Richard Gilliam, her special friends, Ula May Fraley, Becky Lane, Harold Burke, and her dog, Missy.
At Wilma’s request, a private graveside service was held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Adams Cemetery with Pastor Kevin “Tater” Vincent officiating.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Adams Cemetery, Duffield, VA.
