Lizzie Sue Barnette, Duffield, VA
Lizzie Sue Barnette, 80, of Duffield, VA passed away on Sunday January 24, 2021 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital.
She was born in Scott County, VA on January 6, 1941 to the late Omar Lee and Monnie Cleo Barnette.
In addition to her parents, sisters, Reba Sloan and Sandy Faye Reed, brother, Bobby Barnette, and stepfather, Danny Randolph Reed preceded her in death.
Her survivors include daughter; Teresa Wininger and husband, Mike, Surgoinsville, TN; sister, Causby Griffin and husband, Kenny, Weber City, VA; brothers, Jimmy Barnette and wife Linda, Kingsport, TN, Carson Reed; grandchildren, Joey Edwards, Craig Wininger; great-grandson, Riley Edwards; special friend, Frank Berry; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at the Lane/Rhoton Cemetery in Duffield, VA with Rev. Chuck Griffin officiating. Dean Sue Williamson will also be reciting a prayer.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all visitors are asked to wear a face covering and adhere to the social distancing guidelines.
