Sharon Elizabeth (Bledsoe) Baker – Dungannon, VA
Sharon (Bledsoe) Baker, 61, Dungannon, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11, 2019.
Sharon was born in Sullivan County, TN on December 1, 1957 to the late Robert and Betty (Salling) Bledsoe.
In addition to her parents, her brothers, Michael and Ronnie Bledsoe; granddaughter, Angel Rose preceded her in death.
She was a loving, caring and feisty mother and grandmother. Her family was her world. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene Baker ; daughters, Rebecca Quillen (Jarod), Jennifer Quillen, Kayla Cordle; sons, Steven Baker (Angela), Matthew Baker; grandchildren, Dacey and Riley Falin, Christopher and Hayden Cordle, Shayla Mann, Rhegan Baker, Leslie and Austin Rhoton; sisters, Sherry Calton (Dan), Betty Ann Quillen (Fred); brother, Tim Bledsoe (Brandy); along with special pet, Jade; grandpets, Isabelle and Sal.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 11: 00a.m – 1: 00p.m at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00p.m in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Bill Wayne Arrington officiating. Tim Baldwin and April Tucker will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Salling/Grizzle Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Steven Baker, Matthew Baker, Jarod Rhoton, Kevin Collins and Tracy Trivette will serve as pallbearers. Mark Barnette, Scott Hill, Donnie Bledsoe and Phillip Mann will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
