Carol Hass Arwood, 82, of Duffield, VA passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born in Wise County, VA on January 24, 1937 to the late Ralph and Anna Dingus. She is also preceded in death by first husband, Banner Hass; second husband, Guy Arwood; son, Mike Hass; great-granddaughter, Sophia Sexton; brothers, Wayne Dingus and Kenneth Dingus.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters, Paula Bishop (Dayton), Shelby Tomlinson (Larry), Barbara Herron (David), Deborah Ketron (Jeff); sons Robert Hass (Mary), Dennis Hass(Barbara), Gary Arwood (Terry), Jeff Arwood, (Kathy); daughter-in-law, Sharon Hass; sisters, Judy Hoesly (Dick), Margaret Hurd (Daryle), Linda Falin (Ted); brothers, Willard Dingus (Betty), Jimmy Dingus (Joe), Ronnie Dingus (Brenda), Raymond Dingus (Jeanette), nineteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Thomas Village Church in Duffield, VA. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of the church with Pastor Darrell Fletcher officiating. A eulogy will be given by her grandson, Jeremiah Tomlinson. Music will be provided by Andrew Beverly and Still Water.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Johnson Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
