Anthony Guinn Duncan

Anthony (Tony) Guinn Duncan, born June 11, 1962, claimed victory to be with the LORD, Monday – March 4, 2024, with his wife and parents at his side.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Rev. Dale and Mary Duncan; Evervette and Lucille Dishner. His father and mother in-laws; Rev Charles and Anna Rhoton.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Robin. His parents; Jim and Joan Duncan. Brother and sister in-Law; Chuck and Peggy Rhoton. Niece; Sarah and husband Josh. A special great nephew; Benjamin Yates, and special cousin; Lydia, several aunts and Uncles and Cousins, like brothers Eddie and Chad Hood.

Despite Tony’s struggles with many health issues his strong Faith kept him going. His love for music, playing the guitar and singing, which he devoted to God, all Praise and Glory. He enjoyed sharing his ability at every opportunity to be a light for the LORD. He also enjoyed working on old cars, restoring them to full beauty. He enjoyed life and made the best of it, overcoming many obstacles.

A graveside will be held at 2:00p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at J.E. Dishner Family Cemetery, Duffield, Virginia, with Pastor Jackie Frazier officiating. Music will be provided by; Jay Gilliam.

Pallbearers; Edgar Hood, Eddie Hood, Chad Hood, Josh Yates, Bruce Rhoton, and Kent Russell.

Honorary Pallbearers; Tim Duncan, Scottie Duncan, Bobby Duncan, Marty Duncan, Chuck Rhoton, Benjamin Yates, Kenneth Barnette, and Michael Barnette.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
