Annie Jean (Perry) Overbay, 83, Fort Blackmore, VA, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Annie was born in Fort Blackmore, VA, on June 18, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Austin Paul Perry and Ruth (Thompson) Perry.

In addition to her parents, her daughters, Margaret Ruth Overbay and Debra Roberts; son, Harold Lee Overbay; sister, Shirley Ann Perry; brothers, Harold E. Perry and Austin Paul Perry, Jr.; and grandson, Randy Travis Roberts preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rebecca Thompson (Tony) and Pamela Gale Overbay; sons, Ricky W. Overbay and Keith Overbay, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Winstead; brothers, James Perry (Rita) and Don Perry (Sandy); grandchildren, Cassidy Thompson, BreAnna Cox, Ashley Mann, Lauren Thompson, Chad Webb, and Kevin Webb; great Grandchildren, Haleigh Finch and Olivia Farmer; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Whitley officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Slant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fort Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
