Amey Gene Bray, 87, Duffield, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Amey was born on March 17, 1939, in Scott County, VA, and was the daughter of the late David Fritz and Synthia (Vaughn) Fritz.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Duard Edward “Candy” Bray; son, Charles Bray; sisters, Maude Ethel Barnett and Martha Coleman; and brothers, Tom and Leonard Fritz.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen Lane (R.C.); sons, Richard, Michael, and Thomas Bray; grandchildren, Joshua Lane (Amanda), Christopher Lane, and Kristy Dockery (Jason); great grandchildren, Ethan Lane, Addison Lane, Allison Lane, Austin Dockery, Dakota Dockery, Isabella Dockery, Kaylee Dockery, and Hunter Fritz; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Hensley Cemetery, Gate City, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
