Allison Michelle Cross – Duffield, VA

Allison Michelle Cross, 39, Duffield, VA passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

Allison was born in Kingsport, TN on March 18, 1986, and was the daughter of the late James Eugene Jessee and Judy Qualls Hass.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mae Jessee, grandfathers, Lowell Qualls and James Masters; brother, Dustin Jessee.

Allison was a lifetime member and EMT at Duffield Fire and Rescue. She served the people of Scott County for over 18 years. Allison was well known in her community due to her heart to serve others in their time of need. Allison was the most selfless servant and will leave a huge burden and an immense heartache for her EMS family.

She is survived by her husband, Zackery Cross; mother, Judy (Qualls) Hass and husband, Bill Hass; children, Gracie Byrd, Sara Byrd, Nathanial Byrd and Berkley Cross, who she loved with all of heart and soul; brother, Jonathan Jessee; niece, Liebe Jessee; along with a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5 to 7p.m. at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Vanzant and Rev. Lennis France officiating. Andrew Beverly will provide the music.
