Joseph (Joey) Elliott Adkins, 55, Dryden, VA passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Lee County Community Hospital.
Joey was born in Clintwood, VA on March 27, 1967, and was the son of Phyllis Kathleen (Brooks) Adkins.
Preceding him in death were several aunts, uncles, and other family members, along with Ernest Browning, who he looked up to as a father.
In addition to his mother, Phyllis Kathleen (Brooks) Adkins, he is survived by his brother, Hugh (Pam) Adkins, one sister, uncle, Richard Brooks, aunts, Barbara Ann (Brooks) Ashworth, Gay Nelle (Brooks) Ison, Anita (Rakes) Adkins, and
Pat (Compton) Adkins, along with several cousins.
It was the wish of Joey to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held in the mausoleum at Temple Hill Cemetery, Castlewood, VA on Fri, Dec 9th. Family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 AM till 12 PM with the service starting at 12 PM.
