Darrick Addington – Nickelsville, VA

James Darrick Addington, 48, Nickelsville, VA passed away, Monday, October 6, 2020 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Darrick was born in Sullivan County, TN on June 2, 1972 and was the son of Gary D. and Joyce (Jeter) Addington.
His paternal grandparents, C.B and Maude Addington and maternal grandparents, Elmer and AnnaBell Jeter preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Deloras (Wolf) Addington, Nickelsville, VA; parents, Gary D. and Joyce (Jeter) Addington, Nickelsville, VA; his special son and caregiver, Tristan Salyer, Nickelsville, VA; sisters, Suprena Phillips and husband, David, Nickelsville, VA and Monique Qualls and husband, Bryan, Kingsport, TN; his “Fur Babies”, Rambo, Jake, and Chewy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Jessee/Addington Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA with Rev. G.W. White and Pastor P.J. Johnson officiating. Greg and Becky White, and Billy Wayne Arrington will provide the music.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:00 p.m., Friday for the graveside service.
Although we are at a loss for words, devastated and heartbroken, we remain grateful for his presence in our lives and knowing that one day we will see him again. We find peace in knowing that he is now healed, filled with joy, and resting in the arms of our Savior.
