Lucille Clark Comer – Gate City, VA

Mrs. Lucille Clark Comer, 84, Gate City, VA passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Comer was born in Scott County, VA on August 27, 1927 to the late Charles Ingle and Sally Cornelius Hammond Lane.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert W. Clark, Jr.; second husband, James Luther Comer; daughter, Mary Lynn Clark; sons, Benny Louis Clark, Larry Wayne Clark; infant sons, Charles Warner Clark and Scott London Clark; sisters, Bessie Peters and Jane Allen; and brother, Lee Lane preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Junette (Juanita) Clark, Gate City, VA; son, Robert Clark and wife, Kathy, Gate City, VA; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Eva Lynn Hannavig, Bainbridge Island, WA; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Robert and Kathy Clark. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Smith and Rev. Gary Hunley officiating. David and Debbie Easterling will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Carter Cemetery, Manville Copper Ridge Community. John Crisp, Jerry Crisp, Michael Clark, Charles Clark, Allen Byrd, and Robert Clark, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Thursday to go in procession to the graveside service.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Comer I had the pleasure of getting to know her at the Brian center. She was such a sweet lady. After looking at her Picture I see she was very beautiful. Will always rem. her
