We loved Jane and think of her often. When I had a colicky baby "mamaw" walked her around for hours and ever since she has been a treasured friend. We have many fond memories with her in them.

She was a strong lady, wonderful cook, and she would help anyone out. Lots of love to her and her family, especially Papaw.

Jane was one of my very best friends when we were attending Blackwater grade school. Then she moved away and I was lost without her for awhile. Years later she called me and sent me a picture of the two of us along with another friend. It was such a pleasure to get to know her in her adult life. My husband and I visited her in Florida where she was living at the time, then she and Karen visited me in Kingsport. I also stopped by to visit her in Duffield once she moved there. I am so very sorry now that I did not spend more time with her. We started living our winter months in Venice, FL and back in Kingsport during the summer. So time just got away. I was just so shocked to see that she had passed away. I feel like a little part of my heart is now missing. She was a very special "Long Time" friend. Just knowing that she is not in this world makes me very lonely. We all know she is in a very much better place and I look forward to seeing her in "Heaven" some day.
My deepest sympathy to Gerald and all the family.
Love, Wilma
