David and Daniel ... I have just learned of Eula's passing and want you to know how sorry I am to hear about it. Eula was one of the finest people I've ever known. I grew up visiting with her, Aunt Mandy, and Uncle Mark on Cloud's Creek. My mother, Lochiel Brooks Kirk, was especially close to Eula and her parents. Aunt Mandy and Uncle Mark took in my Uncle Guy and Aunt Helen (brother and sister of my mother, Lochiel Brooks Kirk) when they were orphaned with the deaths of their parents at very young ages. Eula was one of my favorite people growing up, and once I was grown we still got to see each other quite often. We always had wonderful times together. I loved Eula's laugh, her soothing voice, and the happiness she brought to everyone. Please know that I will continue to remember you and your family in my prayers as I thank God for the joys of having known and loved your mother.

David, you look just like your mother. I never knew her; but she had to be a wonderful woman because it shows in the way her son was raised. I know that you and Daniel will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of loss.
