Billy Wayne Kilgore, 55, Church Hill, TN went to be with the Lord, Monday, June 11, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Kilgore was born in Sullivan County, TN on August 20, 1956, the son of the late Howard Edward and Lena Alice Bear Kilgore.
He was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Gate City United Pentecostal Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Jewell Kilgore, Church Hill, TN; sons, Scottie Lee Kilgore, Church Hill, TN and Adam Wayne Kilgore and wife, Allison, Billings, MT; step sons, James Artist and wife, Cindy, Indianapolis, IN, Michael Artist and wife, Angie, Rochester, IN, and Brian Hawkins and wife, Sandy, Church Hill, TN; 9 grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; sisters, Linda Ferguson and husband, Stewart, Kingsport, TN, Rosie McFarland and husband, Mike, MI, and Susie Snyder, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Howard Edward Kilgore, Jr., and wife, Cathy, Kingsport, TN and Gary Kilgore and wife, Pam, Kingsport, TN; his special friend, George Henry, Church Hill, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Gate City United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Grizzle and Rev. Dennis Grizzle officiating.
Military Graveside Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the V.A. Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN by the American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, TN and Post # 265, Gate City, VA.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the VA Mountain Home National Cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
