Charles Glen Griffin, 66, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield, VA.
He was born in Scott County, VA on July 8, 1946, to Clyde and Elsie Flanary Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Elsie Griffin and infant brother, Bobby Dale Griffin.
Surviving are his loving wife, Doris Ann Griffin of Gate City, VA, Son, Charles Griffin and wife Susan of Ft. Blackmore, VA, grandson, Michael Scott Griffin of Ft. Blackmore, VA, sisters; Janice Griffin Gibson of Gate City, VA and Marie Burke of Gate City, VA, brothers; Elwood Griffin of Knoxville, TN, Elmer Dee Griffin and wife Peggy of Gate City, VA, Gene Griffin and wife Sallie of Kingsport, TN, Carlos Griffin and wife Jane of Gate City, VA, Dewey Griffin and wife Inece of Gate City, VA and Kenneth Griffin and wife Cousby Marie of Weber City, VA, aunts; Mamie Riddle of Kingsport, TN, Jo Davis and husband Pat of Gate City, VA and Rose Flanary and husband Billy of Hiltons, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home, Gate City, VA. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at Gate City Funeral Home by the Rev. J.W. Depew. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Carter Cemetery in Slant, VA.
The family will meet at the funeral home to go in procession. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

So sorry to hear about Glen we were childhood friends and
neighbors I moved away about 50 years ago but I look forward to the great homecoming in a much better place. I
think Carlos,Dewey and i were around the same age.i pray God's blessings will pour down on the family through this
trying time.
