Elmer "Duke" Craft – Ft. Blackmore, VA
Elmer Wayne "Duke" Craft, 51, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Craft was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 13, 1959, son of Jeanette Lane and the late Sherrill Craft.
In addition to his father, an infant daughter, Autumn Nicole Craft preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Ruby M. Craft, Ft. Blackmore, VA; daughter, Staci Shupe and husband, Scott, Gray, TN; son, Stephen Wayne Craft, Ft. Blackmore, VA; granddaughter, Savanna Riley Craft; mother, Jeanette Craft, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sisters, Amy Greenwell and husband, David, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Frettia Olmos-Hernandez and husband, Audencio, Ft. Blackmore, VA; and brother, Danny Craft and wife, Elizabeth, Ft. Blackmore, VA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his mother. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Hunley officiating. Pine Grove Harmony will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Craft Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Rick Page and Jerry Page will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m., Friday to go in procession to the graveside service.
