Pauline Jones
Gate City, VA | February 07, 2010Frances Pauline Jones, 73, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing Home.
Pauline was born October 2, 1936 to the late Dan Rhoton and Laura Darnell Rhoton.
She was raised in Scott County, VA and graduated from Rye Cove High School. She attended Rye Cove Methodist Church as long as she was able.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Laura Rhoton; one nephew, Harold Wayne Poe and one sister, Betty Bishop.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Coy Lee Jones, Gate City, VA; one son, Jackie Lee Jones and fiancée, Sandi Rose, Abingdon, VA; two granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Heather and husband, Tyler-Moore, Ft. Campbell, KY, Holly Jones, Duffield, VA; one brother and sister-in-law, Wrightly and Lucille Rhoton, Gate City, VA; one sister, Barbara Sue Dishner, Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Nancy Jones Salling, Kingsport, TN; brother-in-law, James Jones and wife, Wanda, Gate City, VA; also survived by one aunt, Dorothy Darnell, Kingsport, TN; several nieces, nephews and lots of cousins, many friends and church family.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Services will be at 8 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Justin Smith and Rev. Denny Hass officiating. Music will be provided by the Hass Family and Sandy Salling.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family will meet at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
Her son, Jackie and his girls were what helped her and the love of her Lord. She will be missed by all who knew her. We wish to thank Angie and the Staff at Ridgecrest Manor for their care and compassion.
Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Jones family.

Don,t know if ya remember. I,m Charles Carters daughter. I am so sorry to hear of Paulines death. She was a very special person and a friend to all.

I hate to hear about the lost of such a good person as Pauline. We will miss her very much. I always looked forward to seeing her standing at the door or on her porch and would wave at her on my way home from work. But we know that she is in a better place now, and she will suffer no more.
